Even IndieWire’s Own Staff Cannot Agree on the Best Format for Seeing ‘One Battle After Another’
Is there a “right” way to see Paul Thomas Anderson’s latest? And, if so, does that mean there’s also a “wrong” way? IndieWire’s own film obsessives can’t agree, but we sure have ideas and arguments to spare.
Asking if there’s “a right way” or maybe a “wrong way” is spot-on for low-effort corpo “human” patronizing talk specifically engineered to illicit interaction by anyone. A lazily wide net aimed at pulling in whatever happens to take the bait. 🤢🤌🏼 Just smacks of “whatever your opinion is, we’re sure to have quoted someone who agrees with you in some capacity”. 🤷🏼♂️
Re: “Rule #1”, being kind to others includes being kind to your own self, and you owe it to yourself to have an opinion. So, state it. Engage in brave discourse. Venture something at least, lest you be swept up in the baseline filtering out of AI slop and similar half-assed “organic” interaction posts. 🖖🏼
