A Flawed Movie Gets a Great 4K
Spawn is let down by awful visual effects and a rather annoying performance from John Leguizamo as the repulsive Clown. Michael Jai White is great and the practical effects also work well. The 4K looks and sounds fantastic with both versions of the film and a plethora of special features making this worth picking up if you’re a fan of the movie.
4/5

Nice review. I nearly pre-ordered the Arrow Video copy and then I realised I’ve never owned this film and I saw it in the cinema. If I didn’t buy it on DVD or Blu-ray since, I can’t of liked it that much. 😆

It may be the last I post from The Action Elite. :/

I had subscribed to their RSS feed. Unfortunately, it often included spam posts for online marketing, gambling, roofers in Toronto etc. Even articles that seemed like they were about action movies but were really a pretext to include some affiliate link. But a level I could just about bear.

But today it had such a flood of posts for online casinos (like 20 per real article) I finally “rage unsubscribed” from TAE.

I follow a similar site, City On Fire, that has news of martial arts films. They only post once every so often, but occasionally one of them might be about gambling.

I subscribe to CoF, too. Nowhere near as bad as TAE with the gambling posts, fortunately.

I notice on the TAE website itself, those posts are buried down the bottom in a distinct “News & Misc” section. I might have to manually remember to go look at the website, as the feed is just too spammy now.
