All I know is: for lemmy, if someone on a given mastodon server follows the group, then that group’s posts are accessible to everyone on that mastodon server.
For example, someone on mastodon.social followed [email protected], so on mastodon social all the posts are available here: https://mastodon.social/tags/bmoviebonanza to all users on mastodon.social, but those posts may not be available to users on other mastodon servers.
I don’t know if the same is true of piefed, and I don’t remember how to follow a lemmy community on mastodon.

darn, looks like I gotta go to the gym…

They’re on to me! Deploy the ninja assassins!

This is my favorite movie in the world. Like if I had to choose what is number one, it would be this film.
I usually meet up at the gym at this time, but I’ve been feeling a little sick today, if it lasts and I’m sentient I’ma try and make this watch party.

Yeah, but Shirley Wan’s gonna come after you to retrieve her Laser Disc, which she replaced with her own version where she hid some information worth killing for…

that dirty deeds man. It’s a Goss Bros
He was also in Seagal’s “Cartels” which I also watched last night, and I thought he did a decent job. (the movie literally put me to sleep tho, I still got another 20 minutes to watch.)

ooh I tried looking that up earlier, but the search wasn’t working…

The odd thing is, I watch a lot of B-movies, and as far as those go, the production values on the Seagal movies are usually not too bad. Like the director of this one is actually a respected cinematographer, and the other actors are professional TV-quality actors or better . IMDB estimates the budget here was 8 million, tho wikipedia cites 15 million, which I think in 2006 was a reasonable budget. The problems usually involve the script and Seagal’s acting, both of which try to turn him into something he’s not. He would have been better off going for a persona as a large unstoppable guy, kind of like an NLF (er, NFL) linebacker, a “Mr. Big” with a sense of humor who doesn’t take himself too seriously. Then hired a fight choreographer who was willing to work with that. Unfortunately (there’s that word again) I think Seagal’s personality won’t let him do that.

aah! Well, maybe I can catch a future one.

Aww, too bad, I got other plans for that time!

just finished watching it bc I had to leave early… it was only like 15 minutes but it was terrible bc I wanted to say something snarky a couple times but I had no-one to snark to!

Aw yeah there’s a whole industry of videos making fun of Seagal… here’s my favorite… (warning it’s got a lot of profanity) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzIHyF7UWY4 the youtube comments are pretty funny too. I’ve seen a lot of those movies, they aren’t really that bad, but definitely B-movies.

Hmmm… JCVD was like 57 when he credibly played https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bouncer_(film) … (wtf I can’t add links any more…) … then of course there’s Steven Seagal who’s most recent movie was made when he was round 68… tho I dunno if I’d call him “credible” lol…

wtf this community somehow disappeared from my “favorites” feed… anyway…
this is starring Pierce Brosnan? man is in his 70s, so obv he’s not the “action” lead… looks like Lily James is the lead… omfg it’s got Bruno Gouery from Emily in Paris, ok I’m a check it out at some point… !?!
Almost always, the trailer suggests a much better movie. Occasionally, the soundtrack alone does so. Funny that Synthwave is a genre that builds itself almost entirely around this: soundtracks for movies that have never been made.
