    I think it’s pretty clear that Leon killed the monster instead of his dad. However, you could still rationalize it that Leon is partly to blame for running away and then acting as a distraction for his father during the fight.

      Yeah, I thought they were going to do this and that probably is what actually happened, but instead they chose for Leon to believe something a bit more unlikely.
