Seeing 5 rapid fire posts for 5 discussion threads for the first 5 episodes of a single series show up on all.
It is the first week or two of a new season, so there’s been anime blessings to watch a plenty, but my eyes glaze over and I pay little attention to the posts because it looks like spam, but also triggers the ‘spam, block the community’ response.
One of the manga subs also recently went through the same bot situation, and decided to turn off the bot, except for maybe a few weekly posts for a couple top series.
Looking through the first 20-30 newest posts, seems like this is a bot community devoid of life. Then suddenly, it looks vibrant with actual posts from users, then there’s some more bot posts, almost looks like the bot was off for some time and allowed users to actually participate with their interests.
I’ll be blocking the bot, but this is all more feedback for thought on what the community looks like from a users perspective.
