Couldnt get into the manga but ill give this a try even if its just to watch the beautiful Science SARU animation.

Kagura bachi - its a new Manga about the son of a person who makes enchanted Katanas. Its really good so far

Boys Run The Riot - A really good Manga about a trans boy who starts a clothing brand with his friends from school. AFAIK theres only four volumes officially out so I have to find a decent fan translation.

You should consider starting on smaller projects so you can get comfortable with the space and understand exactly what you want for the main project you’re passionate about. Starting by making really small projects is what indie game devs usually do and you could do it by starting with a really small manga and then maybe a really small indie animation
