uhh… spirited away?
mushoku is up there if we are talking about the modern kind of isekai
Hey guys, did you know that…
Was unsure where the story will go halfway of the season, but I am satisfied with the darker elements. Probably going to pick up the manga, looks like volume 8 is a good place to continue from - looks like my closest store is going to stock up with the English translation next month.
Around 20 minutes in I checked the length. “1,5 hours?? glances at the time fuck it, time to get a comfortable position”
I need to rewatch the second season, seems I’ve forgotten certain events that happened. The 2nd season was also pretty crazy, so not complaining. This episode seemed too happy from the get-go, I was just anxiously waiting for shit to go down.
Dr. Octopus origin story?
Can you watch the original series and continue with this second season? Have been planning on watching S&W for… 10 years (oh dear), but probably don’t want to see the same story twice back-to-back. Or only watch the new version?
The name does not contain “The Animation”, so there is a chance it could be decent.
ko
thought this was the stage play from oshi no ko at first
RIP 177013, you will be missed.
Anime is popular, if the industry smells money it’s going to take it.
I think Steins;Gate is very subjective. The original visual novel translates quite well into a linear anime format, especially considering it was not hit with the 12 episodes curse like Chaos;Child. You do miss Okabe’s internal monologue, but IMO it is not a probelm.
Steins;Gate 0 however, was impossible to make into a loyal adaptation. They did make it a good companion for the visual novel though.
Only Hunter×Hunter, which I have watched six times in total over 9 years.
JoJo as well, if you count series with separated seasons.
it’s a good isekai
But seriously, it’s kind of a fantasy thriller. There are constant “oh shit” moments and tense atmospheres, and the protagonist is not having a good time most of the time.
I really enjoyed this show even if it was not mind-breaking or anything. Very grounded an mostly realistic. It is also amongst the best looking 3D anime in existence right now.
It is really unfortunate how they have messed up the distribution. For most of the world, fansubs are unfortunately still the only way to see Girls Band Cry without running through hoops.
I think it has a definitive ending. Not going to watch it again to confirm though.
It has been 9 years since I watched it, but eh… IMO it became a complete trainwreck halfway through. A key character unexpectedly does a full 180° personality switch. Plot elements do not get explained properly. But at least audiovisually the show is a treat.
This is a gender bender? Sign me the fuck up.
- Not an egg. Most likely. But Twintails and OniMai made me feel warm.
I wonder how the official translated subtitles will be done.
