Produced by Golden Harvest, “Her Vengeance”, a Category III rated rape and revenge thriller, shares a plot very similar to Shaw Brothers’ “The Kiss of Death” (1973). It also borrows ideas from the American “I Spit on Your Grave” (1978). Interestingly, the two main leads, Lam Ching-Ying and Pauline Wong Siu-Fung, starred together in “Mr. Vampire” (1985), the film that launched Lam’s mainstream fame.
Rewatched & enjoyed Mr Vampire for the umpteenth time on Sunday #MonsterMiru but this sounds like a very different, darker kettle of fish.
