Re:Monster - I read a chunk of the manga for this one and it is…not great. Do not recommend. I highly doubt that the LN format will save this one.

Tsukimichi - Big fan of this series. I read pretty far in the WN, and based on the synopsis, I have read well past where LN9 is going to cover (which is roughly middle of season 2 of the anime for comparison). Also, this is unrelated, but on the Tsukimichi website, the button for volume 7 is stuck on the end out of order for whatever reason and it is really bugging me.

Tsukimichi - I really enjoy the anime but I haven’t started the LNs yet. It’s one of the ones I am worried won’t be as good as I want it to be. (Like Appothacary Diaries LN)

I actually prefer the LN (or, in my case, the WN) to the anime/manga. It might be because I read it first, but the thought that goes into the world of Tsukimichi is actually really well done, and they have to leave a lot of that detail out in the other adaptations. There is also a lot more time to devote to side characters and their story. As an example, there is a lot more about Makoto’s students in Rotsgard in the text as well as a lot on some of the characters in Tsige (like Toa and her party). The text will probably feel slow compared to the anime though, since the anime really cut things down to just what is needed.

That’s how I like it, I love Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody which took a volume just to cover 1 week getting ready for a trip. That was also why I disliked Appothacary Diaries as there was no details just did this did that.

You have sold it to me, I will have to pick it up soon.

I’ve seen a couple of episodes of the anime and I think my review about it back when it aired was something along the lines of “Stockholm Syndrome: The Anime”.

As for the Tsukimichi website, it looks like Hanashi Media puts a lot more work into presenting their IPs, but sometimes, simple might be better. I dislike those parallax scrolling sites in general.
