<Long Story Short, I’m Living in the Mountains> Volume 3 - Holy shit, MC is such an extreme case of a wuss. He cuts his finger, and the entire world ends. Maybe he should have a doctor look at it just to be safe. And it’s so terrible because after losing so much blood, he can’t drink alcohol at the party that evening. And it hurts so much that he doesn’t think he can drive his car with that injury. And the other guy then has to move in with him for a week to take care of him. ALL OVER A FUCKING CUT ON HIS FINGER. And this is not told in a sense of “haha look at that limb-dick loser crying over a tiny cut” but the author tells it as if this was completely normal and warranted behavior. I mean, what do I expect from a character who becomes a mountain recluse because his girlfriend broke up with him? And the other characters aren’t any better. I really wonder if the author wrote himself into the MC there. The yaoi undertones are also switching into overdrive. Finally, here is a quote from the inner monologue of MC: “Chickens can be pretty scary if you think about it.”. And he’s not talking about his kaiju monster chickens but the regular kind, which makes him officially a “chickenshit”. I think it’s time to drop the series.

Making Magic: The Sweet Life of a Witch Who Knows an Infinite MP Loophole

I have read the LN before but I have been reading the manga which covers volume 1 & a bit of volume 2.

The manga is true to the source and it’s great seeing Chise and Teto come to life. My only complaint is it misses the first and last chapters of the volumes. (Their present day catch up and their revisiting the place x years afterwards)

I have carried on and reread volume 2 and now rereading volume 3 onwards.

Side note - Looks like there is finally a volume 9 coming!
