I just finished Ika Musume 2 de geso. It’s kind of impressive how consistent this series is. The format is always the same and the content quality is very consistent from season to season and episode to episode. The only thing is that I liked the first seasons OP end ED much more. The first OP is a banger and the first ED is sung by sanae’s seiyuu itou kanae and she looks really cute in the music video.
Speaking of music, both OPs written in 2010s-appropriate style, but 2nd feels to me, personally, more freshly, like a good update of 1st one.
In the anime itself, I noticed that, the main character interacts with a fairly wide range of secondary (though they are more like “primary”) characters. It was entertaining to observe the main character’s interaction with them. If you think about it, Ika Musume is like an isekai but vice versa (if assume Chizuru is just a human).
I like the “ikandeshou? ikandeshou?” “uuu san hai!” type of stuff in the first one.
And I never thought about it like that, but you are right. From now on I will say that Ika Musume is my favorite isekai!
