Loulan said there was a purpose she brought Maomao there, which Maomao has yet to fulfill as far as we can see.
I was wondering the same thing. It seems like there’s an awful lot of care being put into how the kids’ bodies are treated, and I don’t see why the issue would be getting this much screen time if the kids weren’t actually still alive.
Same thought there, but last episode didn’t tease it and we went to they are going to be buried. I still hope that in next episode Mamao would say to herself wait a minute… and go revive the kids.
