    All I know is: for lemmy, if someone on a given mastodon server follows the group, then that group’s posts are accessible to everyone on that mastodon server.

    For example, someone on mastodon.social followed [email protected], so on mastodon social all the posts are available here: https://mastodon.social/tags/bmoviebonanza to all users on mastodon.social, but those posts may not be available to users on other mastodon servers.

    I don’t know if the same is true of piefed, and I don’t remember how to follow a lemmy community on mastodon.
