    I’m happy they gave Elrand a likable voice and animation. In the light novels he comes off as utterly unlikable and that always felt wrong somehow when contrasted with how the other characters interact with him. In the anime he has a completely different feel and I think it’s a good change. Maybe that’s how he is in the JP source as well and it got lost in translation.

      Agree on utterly unlikable but he was supposed to be quite competent when dragons are not involved. He was an S-rank adventurer and guild master for probably at least decades after all.

        In the EN light novel his obsession with dragons felt more like that of a pervert to me. As if he couldn’t wait to be alone with the dragon corpse to fuck it. In the anime he comes across more like an innocent fanboy who meets his idol. I assume that that was how it was supposed to be, but the English translation isn’t very good. His competency never gets questioned in both.

        Has someone here read the manga? How is he depicted there?

    I made the mistake of watching this with an empty stomach and now I feel even more hungry……

    I thought talents are manifestations of blessings from the gods, but apparently not in this world. It is interesting that Mukouda was told that he had not much talent as a blacksmith while implying a blessing would not help him much.

    Already OP Fel & Dora-chan getting 50% boosts?! Luckily Mukouda has them under control (barely) by their stomach. I suspect they’ll end up going to the dungeon though, despite Mukouda’s efforts.
