Exit

There are sticky notes and pens at the exit so you can post something on the wall.
There is also a gift shop at the end with some exclusive merch. Most were already sold out though. There is also an Evangelion-themed cafe where you can have Asuka spaghetti!
There are certain areas in the exhibit where photos/videos were not allowed. There’s an area with the audition recordings played on loop. There’s another area with a projector playing different versions of the Misato “next episode” sequence. There’s also an area showing how they used motion capture to do some of the scenes from the Rebuild movies. I was right that they used some kind of rotoscope/mocap/3DCG for the Asuka force feeding Shinji scene!

Sorry if the pictures are low res. I couldn’t use my camera to take photos. Only phones were allowed and my hands were shaking from the excitement and nervousness lol.
The exhibit goes on until January 12 at Roppongi Hills. Tickets are ~2000 JPY.
edit: I should mention that these photos were taken on November 24. I wanted to post this on the same day but I kept falling asleep while trying to upload everything
editedit: I REALLY REGRET not buying the shopping back merch at the gift shop. I was disappointed that the Asuka posters were sold out. I was considering the shopping bag (it had a print of a keyframe of Unit 01) but when I picked it up, I heard Anno’s voice whisper to me “Really???” so I put it back down and walked away. The moment I stepped outside I realized that the one thing I don’t have and always forget to bring with me is a shopping bag like when buying groceries. Sorry Anno but it doesn’t seem like I’m ready to grow up yet.
