Like what @[email protected] said, it depends on what “action” means. If action just means having fight scenes in them, then plenty of sports anime with flashy sequences meet the criteria. Or anything with a heavy focus on competition and rivalry.
Some of my favourites - that are most relevant to this post - are Haikyu and anything from Umamusume.
For Umamusume, the more “battle shonen-like” ones are Beginning of a New Era and Cinderella Gray IMO. (Even though Cinderella Gray is supposedly seinen.)
