The Shibuya arc was more jarring than bad. The culling arc is just stupid. Lots of random nobodies popping out of the woodwork with no leadup and stomping all over the main characters. It felt completely undeserved.

It falls into this very general “cuckold fetish” that some anime and manga have, and for the record that’s my temporary name for it. It’s not limited to NTR, but rather that it’s a fascination of some Japanese storytellers to build up a protagonist only to undeservedly tear them down by nobodies.
